ラテックスアレルギーがあると、ラテックス製の医療用手袋は使えない。また、ラテックス以外でも製造段階で加えられる加硫促進剤などが刺激物質になり接触皮膚炎を生じさせることがある。
職業上手袋は使わざるを得ないので、いくつか試して自分に合うのを探す。それが実習先に用意されているとは限らないから、自分用にストックを持っているといいかもしれない。

ビーエム機器など扱い。クロロプレンゴム、ラテックスフリー、パウダーフリー。本学解剖実習で、ニトリル手袋に過敏症を呈した履修生に有効だった例がある。入手先は群馬大学生協、医療用品ディーラーなど。

TORAY製。滅菌済みの手術用。クロロプレンゴム、ラテックスフリー、加硫促進剤フリー、ミルクカゼインフリー、パウダーフリー。入手先は医療用品ディーラーなど。

ミドリ安全製。ニトリルゴム、ラテックスフリー、加硫促進剤フリー、パウダーフリー。本学解剖実習でよく使われている。入手先はAmazon、群馬大学生協、医療用品ディーラーなど。

ハリヤード製。ニトリルゴム、ラテックスフリー、パウダーフリー。本学医学部附属病院でよくみかける。入手先はAmazon、群馬大学生協、医療用品ディーラーなど。

これらの他、材質では、PVC、ポリエチレンがある。
木綿やLYCRAなどの薄い手袋をインナー手袋として使うのが効果的なこともある。
